Iguratimod (IGU) is a small molecule compound that is widely used in China and Japan as a potential antirheumatic drug for the treatment of various Rheumatic Diseases.[34] The inhibitory effect of IGU on B-cell function is mediated through the reduction in immunoglobulin production and the suppression of various inflammatory cytokines, such as interleukin (IL)-1, IL-6, IL-8, and tumor necrosis factor.[35] Because of its multiple immunomodulatory effects, IGU has become a widely used drug for the treatment of Rheumatic Diseases, including pSS. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is peeling skin syndrome.
