ANGPTL4 and cancer: ALDH1A1, belonging to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family, plays a crucial role in alcohol metabolism,[45] while Angiopoietin-like 4 (ANGPTL4) gene encodes a glycosylated secreted protein that participates in regulating glucose homeostasis and lipid metabolism.[46] Hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase 1 (HPRT1) is involved in purine metabolism, and can positively regulate genes associated with cancer-related pathways.[47]
