TP53 and hepatocellular carcinoma: The first observation was that NRASG12V plus transient LIN28B overexpression in Lin28a/Lin28b/Tp53-TKO mice could lead to lethal tumors (Figure 3, E and F) with survival similar to that of the control model (Supplemental Figure 4A), indicating that only a brief burst of LIN28B expression was needed to initiate HCC.
