CD79A and inflammatory bowel disease: In this study, we demonstrated that the aberrant binding ability of intestinal IgA derived from IBD patients and that selected mouse-derived monoclonal IgA clones bind to candidates of colitogenic bacteria in IBD patients, including E. coli, Enterococcus (E.) faecium, Gemella (G.) morbillorum and Veillonella (V.)dispar. According to IgA binding to these bacteria, a recombinant (r) W27 IgA suppressed those bacterial growth in vitro.
