Accumulating evidence has revealed that ILF3 is highly expressed in various cancers, and closely related to poor prognosis.[45] ILF3 participates in diverse cellular functions, such as mRNA stabilization, translation regulation, viral replication, and circRNA biogenesis.[17] ILF3 is also involved in the EGF‐ERK signaling and plays an important role in systemic serine metabolic reprogramming and colorectal cancer development.[18] However, the functional role of ILF3 in HCC progression remains poorly clarified. The gene discussed is ILF3; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
