To explore the generality of the efficacy of shTFF1, we employed additional pancreatic cancer cell lines with relatively low TFF1 expression (PK9, KLM1, and KP4), and stem cell markers (CD133 and NANOG) were analyzed by real‐time PCR, revealing that the stemness of the cells was generally enhanced by gemcitabine treatment and counteracted by the addition of shTFF1 (Figure 7B). The gene discussed is NANOG; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
