As a substrate of JAK2, activated signal transduction and transcription factor 3(STAT3)can bind to its target gene promoter region and up-regulate the expression of genes involved in cell cycle progression, proliferation, anti-apoptosis, angiogenesis and metastasis [16, 17].The JAK2-STAT3 pathway has been shown to play an important role in the proliferation and apoptosis of various solid cancers and hematologic malignancies [18–21]. Here, JAK2 is linked to hematologic disorder.
