We found that BUB1 expression was significantly associated with poor outcomes (including higher mortality and increased rates of recurrence) in both women treated with chemotherapy and radiation therapy, the two most common adjuvant treatment modalities for women with breast cancer, with high BUB1 expression being strongly associated with worse overall survival in women with breast cancer (Fig. 1G) [20, 32]. This evidence concerns the gene BUB1 and breast cancer.
