MAPT and tauopathy: The authors address this unknown by examining sex, age, sleep and tau interactions in the P301S murine model of tauopathy, first characterizing the temporal progression of sleep/wake/motor behaviors in the two sexes across the lifespan of PS19 mice and relating these changes to synaptic soluble phosphorylated tau changes in cortical post-synaptosomes and then by examining the effects of acute and chronic sleep disruption on synaptic soluble phosphorylated tau changes in cortical and hippocampal post-synaptosomes and spatial memory.
