MTOR is known to be involved in reward/aversion processing as well as in positive/negative reinforcement learning, both circuits being disrupted in neuropsychiatric disorders (SCZ, ADHD, ASD, Tourette syndrome, conduct disorder/oppositional defiant disorder, Fragile X syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Williams syndrome, Angelman syndrome, and Rett syndrome).49 The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is atypical Rett syndrome.
