It is well known that KRAS altered NSCLC frequently shows co-occurring mutations with other genes, including tumor protein 53 (TP53), serine/threonine kinase 11 (STK11), and Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 (KEAP1), also known as liver kinase B1 (LKB1), as well as concurrent amplifications in the MET and erb-b2 RTK 2 (ERBB2) genes (9, 14–18). Here, STK11 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
