The first drug to enter clinical trials geared toward targeting mutant KRAS, sotorasib (previously known as AMG 510), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on May 28, 2021, for adult patients with previously treated (immunotherapy and/or chemotherapy) locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC harboring the KRAS p.G12C mutation (38, 39). This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
