In the present work, we show that two lncRNAs, Urothelial Carcinoma Associated 1 (UCA1) and Small Ubiquitin Modifier 1 pseudogene 3 (SUMO1P3), were increased in the urine of bladder cancer patients affected by high-grade and muscle-invasive tumors with respect to superficial, low-grade tumors, healthy controls, and men with benign prostate hyperplasia, indicating that UCA1 and SUMO1P3 are good candidates for monitoring tumor progression. The gene discussed is UCA1; the disease is benign prostatic hyperplasia.
