The findings are in line with the results of our previous systematic review, in which we found regular aerobic exercises had a positive effect on the oxidative stress levels of older adults by reducing pro-oxidant markers MDA and LPO levels and increasing antioxidant markers SOD and TAC levels (59), indicating that 24 weeks Baduanjin training might be helpful to improve the oxidation-antioxidant balance in the older adults with CF by modulating serum levels of antioxidative and pro-oxidative stress markers. The gene discussed is SOD1; the disease is cystic fibrosis.
