Transaminitis was significantly more frequent in the NAFLD arm, as shown in Table 2. It also shows that there were significant differences in fasting blood glucose (FBG), postprandial blood glucose (PPBG), total cholesterol, HDL, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and triglyceride parameters between patients with and without NAFLD, except for fasting insulin levels (8.9 vs. 5.7, p=0.08). Here, INS is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
