The use of SGLT2 inhibitors was associated with a significantly lower risk of incident AF compared with the use of DPP4 inhibitors among men (HR, 0.60; 95% CI, 0.44 to 0.82; p < 0.01), but not in women (HR, 0.75; 95% CI, 0.53 to 1.05; p = 0.10). Here, SLC5A2 is linked to atrial fibrillation.
