Additionally, the significantly lower tumor uptake we observed in uPAR KO mice compared to WT mice supports earlier findings that tumor stroma highly contributes to the overall expression of uPAR in the tumor and consequently to the tracer uptake.[16, 17, 18, 19] Hence, we anticipate even higher tumor uptake of the lead anti‐HuPAR Nb 15 in humans compared to the proposed mouse models.
