Martinez Viedma and Pickett [76] studied the behavior of ZIKV infection in human placenta (JEG-3) and human microglia (HMC3) cell lines and found that the TLR7/8 pathway was significantly inhibited in HMC3 cells, whereas it was activated in JEG-3 cells during viral infection [76]. The gene discussed is TLR7; the disease is Zika virus infectious disease.
