To understand what additional features might prevent clonal expansion and activation of such T cells we determined the phenotype of CD8+ T cells with respect to the expression of PD1 and LAG3, an inhibitory molecule found to be abundantly present in the microenvironment of HL, and expression of FoxP3 as a marker for regulatory T cells (Figure 4B+C). This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and Hodgkins lymphoma.
