Among genes upregulated in CYP3A74 KO cells, worth of mention are VLDLR and KCNMA1; the upregulation of the former was previously associated with fatty liver development following lipids accumulation (Oshio et al. 2021), while KCNMA1 dysregulation has been previously reported in breast carcinoma, glioblastoma, prostate, and colorectal cancers (Basile et al. 2019). This evidence concerns the gene KCNMA1 and colorectal cancer.
