Our stability selection model consistently selected 12 variables in both men and women (Figure 2): age, albumin, antihypertensive medication, apolipoprotein B, atrial fibrillation, C-reactive protein, current smoker, cystatin C, family history of CAD, glycated haemoglobin, systolic blood pressure, and a PRS for CVD.
