So far, three CD19.CAR T cell products have received approval from regulatory agencies, including the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA), for the treatment of relapsed/refractory B cell malignancies: axicabtagene ciloleucel (axi-cel) for diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL), primary mediastinal B cell lymphoma (PMBCL) (2, 3), and follicular lymphoma (FL) (4); tisagenlecleucel (tisa-cel) for DLBCL (5), FL (6), and B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) in patients up to 25 years of age (7); and brexucabtagene autoleucel (brexu-cel) for mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) (8) and B-ALL (9).
