CD8A and systemic lupus erythematosus: The difference in the CD8 response was still significant when patients with SLE and without SLE taking B cell–depleting drugs (n = 15 versus 85) or any other therapy except MMF/MPA (n = 56 versus 50) were compared (P < 0.001 and P < 0.05, respectively; Figure 5E), but the difference was not significant when patients with SLE and without SLE taking MMF (n = 40 versus 13) were compared (Figure 5E).
