CD274 and triple-negative breast carcinoma: Notably, PD-L1 inhibitors have shown promising efficacy in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), as evidenced by the Impassion 130 study which reported a median overall survival of 25 months in PD-L1-positive locally advanced or metastatic TNBC patients treated with atezolizumab in combination with nab-paclitaxel, resulting in a 7-month improvement in overall survival, with manageable side effects (Emens et al. 2021).
