According to one clinical study, TIM-1 expression was increased in cervical-cancer tissues, whereas in vitro cell experiments indicated that TIM-1 reduced the expression of p53, BAX, and E-cadherin and increased the expression of VEGF, MMP-2, cyclin D1, Bcl-2, Snail1, N-cadherin, vimentin, and MMP-2. Here, HAVCR1 is linked to cervical cancer.
