BTG2 was underexpressed significantly in DKD than the normal and correlated with clinical prognostic indicators like albuminuria. When probing the possible pathway that BTG2 affects on DKD, we firstly organized GSEA, a bioinformatics tool detecting the enrichment pathway of target gene, and the results indicated that EMT pathway as well as mTORC1 signaling pathway might involve in the way BTG2 works between periodontitis and DKD. This evidence concerns the gene BTG2 and diabetic kidney disease.
