VEGFA and hereditary angioedema: In order to shed lights on the possible involvement of microcirculation in the pathogenesis of bradykinin-mediated angioedema we previously compared 128 patients with C1-INH-HAE and 68 healthy controls demonstrating in the patient group higher plasma levels of angiogenic factors (VEGF-A, VEGF-C, Ang1, and Ang2) [33].
