The occurrence rate of liver-related events at 5 years was 7.7% in patients with high serum Fibulin-3 levels (>6.0 μg/mL) and 1.5% in patients with low serum Fibulin-3 levels (<6.0 μg/mL) (Figure 3C), and there was a significant difference in the incidence of liver cancer between these 2 groups (log-rank test p<0.0001). This evidence concerns the gene EFEMP1 and liver cancer.
