Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with t(9;22) (q34.1; q11.2)/BCR::ABL1 is now considered as a distinct entity within the group of AML with defining genetic abnormalities in both the World Health Organization Classification of Haematolymphoid Tumours (WHO 2022) and the International Consensus Classification of Myeloid Neoplasms and Acute Leukemias [1, 2]. Here, ABL1 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
