Among the founder mutations identified in previous studies of ovarian cancer in the Chinese population, except for c.1081delG, c.2612C>T, c.3548A>G, c.4837A>G, and c.5154G>A in the BRCA1, and c.3337C>T in the BRCA2, the rest of the mutations were detected in a few samples, and could not be presumed to be geographically specific mutations. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA2 and ovarian cancer.
