IL-17A is considered one of the most common cytokines from the IL-17 family that has been extensively studied due to its prominent role in carcinogenesis, especially in cervical and breast carcinoma besides inflammation [36]. A plethora of studies have described that IL-17A protein is greatly expressed within tumor tissues: for instance, gastric carcinoma, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, colorectal carcinoma, lung cancer, thyroid cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma [18, 19]. This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and colorectal carcinoma.
