BRD9 and acute myeloid leukemia: Interestingly, BRD9 has recently been described as an essential gene in AML, where inhibitors, degraders, or knockdown of BRD9 leads to myeloid differentiation, reduced proliferation, and cell death in murine and human model systems of AML [23, 24, 26, 35], suggesting BRD9 might be a useful therapeutic target in AML patients.
