Moreover, our results from combined treatment (GSK3B overexpression and/or β-Sitosterol treatment) demonstrated that increased expression of GSK3B enhanced the proliferative and invasive capacity of cancer cells while reducing cell cycle arrest at G0/G1 phase and cell apoptosis; moreover, it partially counteracted inhibitory effects of β-Sitosterol on malignant behaviors in hepatocellular carcinoma cells.
