EVs released from drug-resistant breast cancer cells are rich in EphA2 protein, which promotes tumor invasion and metastasis through the EphA2-Ephrin A1 reverse pathway [93], and the increase in EphA2 in EVs released from drug-resistant cell-derived cells may be an important mechanism of chemoresistance-induced breast cancer progression. The gene discussed is EPHA2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
