As part of the country’s commitment to end AIDS epidemic by 2030 following the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS)’ global strategy initiative, the Thai government has set a number of priorities within the National AIDS Strategic and Operational Plan including expanding ARV access to all HIV-infected Thai nationals regardless of CD4+ level (9) and initiating the first fee-based HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) program in 2014 (10).
