The qRT-PCR analysis revealed that the expression levels of SGLT2 were higher in CRC cells (5.19 ± 0.82—in HCT 116, 4.69 ± 0.67—in HT-29, 5.84 ± 1.18—in SW480 and 5.28 ± 0.77-fold change in LoVo) compared to normal CCD 841 CoN cells (0.99 ± 0.17-fold change, p < 0.01) (Fig. 1A). Here, SLC5A2 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
