IFNA1 and COVID-19: They postulated that this could stem from a viral-mediated obstruction of the STAT1/2 signaling pathway.45 Several findings suggest that SARS-CoV-2 has established effective mechanisms to inhibit host IFN’s reduction.46,47 These findings, along with our own research results, offer a multitude of perspectives explaining the considerable number of asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic instances encountered throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
