A total of 12 significant SNPs associated with BMI were identified, of which 7 SNPs were also significantly associated with obesity, including rs1337406 (WLS), rs673612 (NTNG1), rs4449107 (FAM84A), rs9820485 (STAG1), rs73247924 (CCKAR), rs2083069 (ACADSB), and rs4942190 (DNAJC15). The gene discussed is ACADSB; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
