Interestingly, the interaction between the LAMA2 protein and another protein of focal adhesions, namely, dedicator of cytokine 1 (DOCK1), promotes the migration of fibroblast-like synoviocytes, essential cells in RA, via RAC1 and ELMO1 gene’s product (Whitaker et al., 2015). The gene discussed is LAMA2; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
