Our results showed that the level of p-p65 protein in THP-1-derived MΦs and lung tissues was upregulated significantly after S. aureus infection, and LAA treatment markedly downregulated the phosphorylation of NF-κB in the lungs of pneumonia mice and in THP-1-derived MΦs. Here, NFKB1 is linked to susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
