Previous studies have shown that FKBP52 is up-regulated in prostate (Lin et al, 2007; Periyasamy et al, 2007), breast (Ward et al, 1999; Mange et al, 2019; Habara et al, 2022), colon (Liu & Gao, 2021), lung (Zong et al, 2021), liver (Liu et al, 2010), ovarian (Habara et al, 2022), and leukemia (Habara et al, 2022) cancers, suggesting that FKBP52 may be an effective target for cancer therapy.
