The HER2-encoding gene ERBB2 has been found to be amplified or overexpressed in various cancers, including breast, gastric, colorectal, esophageal, lung, bladder, endometrial, and ovarian cancers (Galogre et al., 2023), which makes this membrane-bound protein an effective target for cancer therapy (Baselga and Swain, 2009). Here, ERBB2 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
