We identified and experimentally validated several read-through chimeric RNAs (LHX6-NDUFA8 in cervical cancer [35], D2HGDH-GAL3ST2 in prostate cancer [36], BCL2L2-PABPN1 in bladder cancer [37] and RRM2-C2orf48 in colorectal cancer [38]) and have shown their potential to be used as diagnostic markers and/or therapeutic targets. The gene discussed is RRM2; the disease is cervical cancer.
