When the groups were compared in terms of markers associated with the inflammatory process, there was no difference between the TNF-α and IL-10 levels of the AP and Control groups (p > 0.05), while the TNF-α and IL-10 levels of the CP group were statistically significantly higher than those of the AP and control groups (p < 0.01) (Table 2; Fig. 1A and B).
