ERBB2 and Infertility: It has been shown that the eutopic endometrium of endometriosis-associated infertility patients has lower levels of mitogen inducible gene 6 (Mig-6), and abnormal endometrial decidualization in Mig-6d/d endometriosis mice leads to a significant reduction in the total number of embryos implanted, while simultaneous knockdown of erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 2 (ERBB2) (Mig-6d/d Erbb2d/d) reverses the impaired decidualization and reduced fertility caused by Mig-6 [12].
