Several pivotal clinical trials have shown that anti-PD1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), including pembrolizumab, nivolumab, atezolizumab, and durvalumab, significantly improve the survival of advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients when compared with conventional chemotherapy [9,10]. Here, PDCD1 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
