IFNA1 and viral infectious disease: In the presence of Ruxolitinib, overexpression of YTHDC1 still suppressed RSV replication as measured by the amount of RSV-NS1 gene mRNA present (Figure 3A), suggesting that YTHDC1 did not affect RSV replication via IFN type I. To investigate this further, YTHDC1 was overexpressed in Vero cells, a cell line that lacks IFNa and IFNb genes [35] and is, therefore, more susceptible to viral infection [36].
