In these infections, CPSF6 puncta (magenta) can clearly be seen as early as 4 h.p.i. The puncta appeared to increase in size/brightness until 72 h.p.i., but, importantly, they remained present for at least two weeks (when the cells started to die), regardless of whether the particles could reverse transcribe or not (Figure 5B). Here, CPSF6 is linked to infection.
