Dupilumab, a human monoclonal antibody of the immunoglobulin G4 subclass able to block IL-4 and IL-13 signalling by specifically binding to the IL-4 receptor α subunit [9], has been demonstrated to be effective in reducing nasal polyps’ volume and improving the QoL of patients affected by severe CRSwNP [14], including older patients [15]. This evidence concerns the gene IL4 and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
