Afatinib, a pan-HER blocker, is more effective than erlotinib in inhibiting pancreatic cancer cell proliferation, as reported by Tanzeel et al. Furthermore, of all agents examined in their study, CDK1/2/5/9 inhibitor–dinaciclib was the most potent and effective agent against both primary and metastatic cell proliferation in all periampullary tumors. Here, CDK1 is linked to pancreatic neoplasm.
