CRP and COVID-19: In a single-center descriptive study conducted over a period of 2 years (April 2020 to April 2022) in Turkey among 3050 COVID-19 patients treated in the ICU, there were findings of a potential association between age and sex, and biomarkers such as D-dimer, CRP, liver enzymes, ferritin, lactate dehydrogenase were associated with the severity of COVID-19 and prolonged hospitalization of patients [36].
